This is one of the most intense as well as exciting moments in the Summit as you will only get super limited time to discuss with your team how you will continue to lead the change you want to see after the Summit. The good news is you have tremendous help from speakers, mentors & volunteers who will open up your mind and share valuable insight, tips, and tricks to explore urgent & worth solving problems in your country & ASEAN. What I like the most about YSEALI is they already have solid brainstorming method that will guide your team to find what really matters. My favorite part of this event is Pitching in front of the judges. In 2 minutes, you will see how amazing group of YSEALI Summit 2019 share their biggest ideas to tackle the challenges.
We could not be more excited to announce that we got the third place of YSEALI Summit project competition. I could not be more proud of what my team has done to achieve this grant!
3. Discover How Local People Make a Difference
There is nothing more important than seeing what local people have done in the country to make a difference. This is definitely what makes YSEALI Summit so different as you will get a chance to visit local organization that really walk the talk. In YSEALI Summit 2019, we got a chance to gain knowledge and hands on experience from local research center that drive people to preserve endangered species, collect trash to clean up garbage, and turn waste into valuable materials. I think this is totally a moving experience as you can dive how they started their local impact to start a change.
4. Celebrate Cultural Performance like No Other!
You won’t believe it till you see it. YSEALI Summit 2019 participants, mentors, and volunteers are hard workers, thinkers, and change makers and at the same time super talented dancers & performers who are so passionate with their country’s culture. You will see magical & relevant cultural performance from ASEAN countries like never before. I don’t think we have such many opportunities where young people across ASEAN come together to celebrate their culture.
